Feather River ED Lobby

Location: Paradise
Project Type: Healthcare
Pieces Installed: 9
Square Footage: 2,000

Design task:
ACS sought to tie the mission of this faith-based hospital to the artwork with a custom commissioned installation. In collaboration with a regional glass artist, the client, and ACS, we came up with the final design concept. The two story windows in the space allow the light to hit the glass, and as the sun moves throughout the day different feathers take turns “lighting up”. The client chose a particularly meaningful psalm to accompany the glass feathers that tied everything together. The response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic from patients, families and staff.

Key features include:
• Kiln-fired glass feathers with metal detailing
• 3 dimensional brushed aluminum lettering for the psalm
• Framed photography
• Existing original faith-based art
