Design Task

The Sacramento Kaiser Permanente campus has been a significant medical provider serving the diverse community in this region for many years. As we approached a series of refreshes at this important site, a key goal of our overall campus master planning was to create visual continuity throughout the buildings, various floors and medical units while reflecting the vibrant community of patients, staff, and families. After working closely with the leadership team to learn about the population utilizing the space, we incorporated those aspects into the commissioned mural at the focal point of the campus. The underlying theme of the 3-story atrium mural is ‘Togetherness’ and features elements that reflect the community and the local area.  To achieve our goal of creating an overall cohesive artwork collection throughout the campus, a variety of commissioned works, framed fine art giclées and photography featuring local, regional, and national artists tied together themes across the hospital, MOB, and the various medical departments.
